Changes to RMIT English Worldwide (REW) English for Academic Purposes (EAP) refunds

RMIT English Worldwide (REW) has recently made some changes to how refunds are calculated for the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.

Several changes have been made to how refunds are assessed, for example:
  • New rules for situations where REW is unable to issue a Confirmation of Enrolment due to lack of release from another education provider
  • New rules for situations where a visa is not granted in time for a student to enrol in their intended EAP program
  • Simplified rules for circumstances where a student withdraws from their EAP program due to receiving an unconditional offer for an RMIT University program
  • Changes to timeframes and applicable charges for circumstances where a student withdraws prior to program commencement
  • Changes to refunds provided after a student has commenced the program (including extra weeks)
The new RMIT English Worldwide (REW) English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Refund Procedure is published on the RMIT Policy RegisterThe REW EAP Refund Assessment Table provides a summary of how refunds are assessed and can be found in Section 5 – Resources of the procedure. The new procedure, and the associated changes to refund assessments will apply to students whose offer for EAP was issued on or after 9 November 2023.

If you have any questions about the procedure, please email [email protected]
